Town of Apex Affordable Housing Plan

The Town of Apex is preparing an Affordable Housing Plan to: establish a vision and goals related to affordable housing, analyze needs based on existing conditions and trends, and provide recommendations with an action plan for implementation. This survey is intended to help the Town of Apex better understand the extent to which current Apex residents, hopeful Apex residents, and Apex workers can find affordable, safe, quality housing in the neighborhoods that they want to live in. We are conducting this survey to gather feedback on both the housing issues that you personally experience and also see for others in Apex. The results of this survey will be used to inform and prioritize policy responses in the draft Affordable Housing Plan (the Plan) later this year.
If you would like to stay informed about the Plan, please subscribe to receive email updates on the Plan website at: www.apexnc.org/affordablehousing. If you do not have email, please contact Shannon Cox, Long Range Planning Manager for the Town of Apex, at 919-249-3505 and leave a message with a phone number and mailing address where you can be reached.
“Affordable housing” can mean different things in different circumstances. Under federal standards, a household’s rent or mortgage is not “affordable” if the household is spending more than 30 percent of income on total housing costs. “Affordable housing” can also refer to housing that is subsidized by local, state, or federal government.
We are asking the following questions to help us understand who we have reached with this survey. Your responses will be anonymous.
