Hickory Ridge Road Corridor Study
Hickory Ridge Road Corridor Study
Hickory Ridge Road is situated in north-central Kent County in the unincorporated area immediately north of Garrison’s Lake, south of Smyrna, Delaware and serves as an important travel corridor within an expansive and growing suburban area. This roadway accommodates East-West travel between Brenford Road at its western terminus, and US Route 13 at its eastern terminus for a distance of approximately 1.74 Miles +/-. While currently classified as a “Local Road”, this corridor experiences Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) more consistent with most Major Collector roadways. This Study will examine the present physical characteristics and composition of Hickory Ridge Road and will offer recommendations for improvements to accommodate present and future transportation needs of this corridor.
