220-330-110 Clams other than razor clams, and mussels—Areas and seasons and 220-330-140 Oysters—Areas and seasons

Proposal: As part of annual recreational clam, oyster, and mussel season-setting, the Department is proposing changes to some beaches. Seasons on some beaches will be extended, some will be reduced, some will be adjusted to occur at different times of the year, and many will remain the same as in 2021. Season changes are needed to meet conservation objectives; satisfy co-management sharing agreements; and to accommodate the tidal calendar, public health considerations, and the needs of partner access site managers.

220-340-130 Oyster drill restricted shellfish areas—Puget Sound

Three new areas in Hood Canal will be codified as Puget Sound Oyster Drill Restricted Areas to prevent the spread of non-native pest infestations: waters of Bywater Bay, a portion of the eastern shore of Dabob Bay, and the Guillemot Cove Nature Reserve. A series of housekeeping changes will also clarify geographical references to existing areas.
