Atlantic Ave. Off-Season Parking Trial

The City of Virginia Beach is exploring ways to help increase visitation to the oceanfront area during the off season. One of the ideas being considered is to offer free parking in targeted locations. A six-week trial program was implemented offering free, two-hour parking along the southbound side of Atlantic Avenue on most blocks between 6th and 25th streets from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The parking trial will be available until March 31, 2018, and feedback will be used to evaluate its feasibility and to identify areas of this offering that could be improved upon if we continue to test it.
