The survey questions are directly related to the draft recommendations presented at an August 2, 2018 open house and available online at: www.apexnc.org/advanceapex. Maps showing draft recommendations are also available in the "Documents" section of this comment form. You will need to review this material in order to respond to the questions in this form. It is not necessary to respond to all questions, only those where you have input you would like considered.

Draft Roadway Recommendations
Reference the Draft Roadway Recommendations map to respond to the following questions.
Project prioritization is the next step for transportation recommendations in Advance Apex. Several roadway projects are already funded within the study area. These projects are considered “committed” and do not need to be re-prioritized:
- Apex Peakway Southwest Connector - Completes a missing gap in Apex Peakway loop at South Salem Street by constructing a bridge over South Salem Street and CSX railroad tracks
- Lake Pine Drive Improvements - Widen Lake Pine Drive to three lanes north of MacGregor Pines Road to north of Versailles Drive
- NC 55 Widening - Widen NC 55 to multi-lanes from US 1 to Olive Chapel Road
- Ten Ten Road Widening - Widen Ten Ten Road to multi-lanes from Apex Peakway in Apex to Kildaire Farm Road in Cary
- Apex Barbecue Road Bridge Replacement - Replace bridge between Kinship Lane and Franconia Way
- NC 540 Southeast Extension - Extend Triangle Expressway from NC 55 Bypass in Apex to US 64/US 264 Bypass in Knightdale, completing 540 Outer Loop
- US 64 Corridor Upgrades and Improvements - Upgrade US 64 corridor from Laura Duncan Road in Apex to US 1 in Cary. Anticipated interchanges at Lake Pine Drive and Laura Duncan Road.
Draft Pedestrian Recommendations
Reference the Draft Pedestrian Recommendations map to respond to the following questions.
Project prioritization is the next step for transportation recommendations in Advance Apex. Several pedestrian and bicycle projects are already funded within the study area. These projects are considered “committed” and do not need to be re-prioritized.
- Committed roadway projects - Pedestrian and/or bicycle facilities are planned with the committed roadway projects.
- James Street to Downtown Apex – Completes sidewalk from James Street to North Salem Street including improvements to pedestrian infrastructure along North Salem Street.
- East Williams Street sidewalk - Sidewalk along east side of East Williams Street from NC 55 to Sunset Lake Road.
- Kelly Road sidewalk and Apex Barbecue Road sidepath - Sidewalk along east side of Kelly Road from Beaver Trail to Apex Barbecue Road. Sidepath along south side of Apex Barbecue Road from Kelly Road to Scotts Ridge Elementary School driveway.
- Beaver Creek Greenway - Greenway connection from Kelly Road Park to Apex Nature Park.
- Middle Creek Greenway - Greenway connection from Ten Ten Road to Holly Springs with phased construction.
- White Oak Creek/East Coast Greenway - Greenway connection from Green Level Church Road to American Tobacco Trail.
