Loop Branding Survey
The Loop will be a major new asset for the SouthPark area and Charlotte at large. It will also be a catalyst project that brings energy and vitality to SouthPark by providing additive experiences to what is already there. It will be:
- Public and inclusive
- Pedestrian-centered
- Connecting
- Nimble and flexible
- Active
As a result, the Loop will inspire new people to discover SouthPark and provide motivation for more repeat visits. To achieve this the Loop will need:
- Must-see experiences that motivate people to visit
- Day-to-day relevance to the community
- Authentic to SouthPark’s essence
As the Loop gets built out over the coming years there will be a variety of elements including cross walk graphics, way finding, signage, website, amongst other graphical and design elements that will give the Loop a distinct look, or brand identity.
Ultimately the Loop will need to fit within the broader context of SouthPark’s existing character as well as add a new element to its style.
The design team is seeking to better understand the preferences and expectations of people who will likely use the Loop as we begin work on the Loop’s design and brand.
