Preliminary Engineering Activities for this project
have been suspended.
The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes to replace Bridge No. 50 on N.C. 210 over Middle Creek in Johnston County. The purpose of the project is to replace a structurally deficient bridge, which means it has one or more defects that require attention.
Bridge No. 50 will be replaced with a new bridge at its existing location. Traffic will be detoured offsite during the construction period. The offsite detour for this project would include N.C. 210, Crantock Road (S.R. 1504), Cleveland Road (S.R. 1010), and Swift Creek Road, and would result in approximately 14 minutes of additional travel time (10 miles additional travel). Construction will take approximately 8 months.
El Departamento de Transporte Carolina del Norte propone reemplazar el Puente No. 50 en N.C. 210 sobre Middle Creek en el Condado de Johnston. El propósito del proyecto es reemplazar un puente que es estructuralmente deficiente, que significa que tiene uno o más defectos que requieren atención.
