Not able to make the meeting? Here is a brief synopsis of the meeting. Documents are also attached below.

Based on comments received during the first public meeting, the City has adopted the second option between the two designs concepts offered. This design includes a sidewalk along one side of the street and a multi-use path on the other side of the roadway. This concept eliminated bike lanes in the travel lanes and allowed for a buffer. Results from the comments we received during the first public meeting are available below this survey on the home page.

The City is also adding roundabouts along the corridor. The roundabout option at Lake Wheeler Road received a large amount of support during the first meeting, and NCDOT has also approved the design. We also plan to install a roundabout at Granite Street near South Saunders Street, and mini-roundabouts are being designed as a means of traffic calming on the corridor as well.

We want your input. Please provide us with your comments before Nov. 18, 2019.
