Project Description
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) - District 8 is looking to improve the intersections of northbound interstate 275 exit ramp & SR-28 and the intersection of Business 28/Romar Drive & SR-28 while also performing bridge rehabilitation work on the SR-28 bridge over I-275, located in Clermont County.

Why is this project needed?
ODOT conducted a crash study in 2017 and found 141 reported crashes over a three-year period, 24% with injuries. About 57% of the crashes were rear end collisions. Another 15% were left turn crashes, most involving traffic westbound on SR 28 turning left into Romar Drive. About 13% were sideswipes from traffic southbound on Business 28. This project area was identified as a high crash intersection and as a Governor 150 project site for safety improvement.
Why are we holding a virtual public meeting?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak the Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has prohibited mass gatherings and the CDC has recommended using social distancing to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Public involvement meetings are very difficult to perform while practicing social distancing. Due to these issues, ODOT is now taking its public involvement meetings to the internet where social distancing can be easily be performed while engaging with the public about transportation projects.
