The public question and answer session was held on July 30, 2020 from 5:00pm-6:00pm. The public comment period started on July 16, 2020 and ended on September 10, 2020. Project Description
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) - District 8 is looking to convert the existing intersection configuration at SR 32 and Bauer Road located in the Village of Batavia, Clermont County into a Restricted Crossing U-turn design. Safety concerns at the intersection are a result of a combination of traffic congestion and driver misperceptions of the available gap in opposing traffic flow. This design will convert Bauer Road to right out only movements, with two supplemental U-turn intersections on either side of the main intersection.

Why are we holding a virtual public meeting?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, the Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has prohibited mass gatherings and the CDC has recommended using social distancing to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Public involvement meetings are very difficult to perform while practicing social distancing. Due to these issues, ODOT is now holding public involvement meetings virtually so that social distancing can easily be performed while engaging with the public about transportation projects.

A transcript of the video presented here and a printout of exhibits will be provided to anyone who has issues accessing the virtual public meeting.
