State Route 307 and State Route 534 Intersection Improvements (111133)
State Route 307 and State Route 534 Intersection Improvements (111133)
Project Description
ODOT is proposing a project to improve the intersection of State Route 307 and State Route 534 in Harpersfield Township, Ashtabula County. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and reduce crashes.
The project will involve converting the existing intersection of SR 307 and SR 534 to a single-lane roundabout. The project will also construct curb, drainage, lighting, and new signing and pavement markings. The proposed project will not change the current traffic configuration of two lanes, one in each direction.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in Fall of 2022. It is anticipated that the intersection will be closed during construction for less than 90 days, and a detour will be posted.
Much of the proposed project will be constructed within the existing highway right-of-way. However, a small strip of permanent right-of-way is needed from some properties at the intersection. ODOT representatives will contact affected property owners to schedule an appointment to discuss the project and the effect of the project on their property and explain the right-of-way acquisition process. Minor environmental impacts are anticipated due to this project. Likely effects include minor stream and wetland impacts.
