District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) is committed to ensuring that every student feels loved, challenged, and prepared to positively influence society and thrive in life. At DCPS, we are committed to educating the whole child by providing rigorous, joyful, and inclusive academic and social-emotional learning experiences to ensure all students are college and career-ready. As a part of this commitment, DCPS is constantly working to develop and update its policies to meet and support these goals; and receiving feedback from the community is a vital part of the policy development process.
DCPS is developing and updating a number of policies for implementation during school year 2022-23 and at the beginning of school year 2023-24. Feedback from the community, families, students, and staff is essential to ensuring that our policies uphold our standards and best support our students. We welcome your engagement in this process.
