The planned location for the mural is on an exterior wall of the ClearWater Arts Center which faces the interior of the campus, along the driveway leading in from Kerr Street.

More information about the Commissioned Artist: Jonathan Grauel:
I have lived, worked, played and made art in Charlotte for the last 23+ years. My children have grown up here, it’s our home. I create whimsical scenes expressing juxtapositions of relationships and environment; I seek to tell the story of our day-to-day existence. Part of the motivation behind why I make art, is the belief we all have shared in unique yet similar internal and external "events". The villages I create are a means of forming common "locations" that denote these connections. I love making art. I want the art I create to bring encouragement, energy and contemplative joy.
Please take our quick survey below and take part in the creation process of this exciting mural coming to ClearWater Arts Center & Studios and join us for our community input discussion on Friday, July 19th.
