Capital Metro is in the process of recruiting our first Police Chief to lead the Transit Police division of our Public Safety Program. We are seeking public input to help fill this role with the person who will best serve our community and uphold our values as an agency. Capital Metro Public Safety Program
Capital Metro is broadening its Public Safety Program to better serve customers, staff, and the community, better positioning the agency to serve the Central Texas of today and the transit system CapMetro is building for tomorrow. The program's multi-pronged approach includes 3 divisions:
- Public Safety Ambassadors
- Community Intervention Specialists
- Transit Police
Additionally, the Public Safety Advisory Committee will provide continued input and feedback on the development of the program, including guiding the creation of policies and procedures for the comprehensive program.
