The State of Washington is working with Mason County PUD #1 to request the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to release federal funding for utility relocation along Highway 101 at the Duckabush estuary.

An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was adopted on January 19, 2023, which can be viewed at the WDFW Duckabush Estuary Restoration Project SEPA page.
