Stay Informed About This Weekend's Snowstorm:
- The National Weather Service is forecasting a major snowstorm will hit the region late tonight, to continue throughout the day on Saturday. To ensure streets are kept clear and can be properly plowed, the City of Revere is instituting a snow emergency parking ban effective at 6 PM tonight, January 28th. Discounted parking is available at the Wonderland Garage and should be automatically reflected in the payment app. If you need a list of the streets affected by the parking ban, please visit https://reverepolice.org/snow-emergency-parking/.
- The City of Revere DPW will be closing the flood gates on Winthrop Parkway at midnight tonight and they will remain closed until Sunday. This is expected to be a significant storm with blizzard conditions and low visibility at times. Please stay off the roads as much as you can to stay safe. The highest tides are expected in the evening on Saturday, January 29. For any residents living in flood zones, please make extra preparations for potential flooding, and monitor water levels especially during the high tides of Saturday afternoon and evening. You can find tips related to flood safety as well as a link to streets impacted by the parking ban at www.revere.org/emergencies.
- Snow is expected from Friday night until early Sunday morning. Please stay up-to-date on when the parking ban is lifted by following us on social media, visiting Revere.org, or reaching out to Revere 3-1-1 during operating hours.
- The Revere 311 office will be open on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM to answer your questions about the storm. If you are in need of resources, 311 is there to help. After 8:00 PM, please call 911 in the event of an emergency.
- The Saturday DPW Yard Trash Drop-off will be postponed to next Saturday, February 5.
