County urges testing, vaccines as COVID-19 cases spike
Redwood City, Calif. — Amid sharp increases in new COVID-19 cases during this holiday season, San Mateo County Health is urging residents to seek out testing and get vaccinated, especially those traveling or anticipating a return to in-person schooling. Health officials attribute the increase to holiday gatherings and the more contagious Omicron variant. Critical need for blood, donate today!
The American Red Cross celebrates National Blood Donor Month each January and recognizes the lifesaving contribution of blood and platelet donors. As we begin the New Year, we encourage individuals to roll up a sleeve to give this month and throughout 2022. Countywide discounted rain barrel pilot program is back
Flows to Bay, in partnership with Rain Water Solutions, has rolled out a limited-time pilot rain barrel program. With this program, San Mateo County residents and businesses can purchase up to two high-quality, 50-gallon rain barrels for a cost of $80 each. Qualifying applicants can also apply for the countywide rebate, which can cover up to 100% of the per-barrel price (pretax).
