Please be advised that the MPO Offices, located at 8100 15th St. E, Sarasota Florida, will be closed Thursday, December 23rd through Sunday, December 26 in observance of the Christmas Holidays. The Offices will reopen for normal operations on Monday, December 27.

MULTI MODAL PLANNER I, II, and SENIOR PLANNER
The Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is seeking qualified individuals to develop, implement, and monitor transportation projects in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. The selected candidate(s) will join the MPO planning team to coordinate auto, freight, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, and trail system planning. These individuals will work closely with local governments, transportation providers, public and private advocacy groups, neighborhoods, and local constituents. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis, but apply soon as positions are actively being filled. Help us get to Zero!
Destination Zero is the effort that will put us on the path towards reducing and eventually eliminating all traffic-related deaths and serious injuries from our roadways. The goal is to develop a plan to reduce fatalities and serious injuries in the Sarasota/Manatee region to align with FDOT’s Driving Down Fatalities initiative and vision.
The Destination Zero Working group had their first meeting on Thursday, June 3. Working group members were introduced to each other and the data. You can watch the full meeting at https://publicinput.com/V4323 under the 'Working Group' tab.
The Destination Zero Survey is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated. Results of the survey will be coming shortly. You can learn more about the plan and the region's efforts by clicking here.
