Electrification survey seeks to identify ways to ease electrification
In 2020, the City Council adopted a bold climate goal of zero carbon by 2030. To accomplish that goal, a 2021 City Council priority is to “Explore policy/program options to convert 95% of existing buildings to all-electric by 2030.” The City of Menlo Park is conducting a survey to determine how to make it easier to convert existing buildings to all electric buildings. County announces additional dates for children’s vaccine clinic
A new batch of appointments are now available for children ages 5 to 11 to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the “Playland”-themed clinic at the San Mateo County Event Center. Operated by San Mateo County, the clinic offers the COVID-19 vaccine in a kid-friendly setting that invokes Candy Land and other amusements along with superheroes and more for entertainment. Take steps to reduce stormwater runoff pollution
Stormwater is rain water that does not soak into the ground. As stormwater flows over neighborhoods, businesses and streets, it picks up the trash, animal waste, pesticides, motor oils and other contaminants accumulated on hard surfaces and deposits them into our local creeks, rivers and the San Francisco Bay. Stormwater runoff is the largest source of water pollution and the biggest threat to water quality. Each one of us can do our part to make sure that our online lives are safe and secure. There has been a significant increase in cyber fraud as cybercriminals took advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic.
