Update on the Menlo Park Community Campus project
On December 16, 2019, Facebook submitted its proposal for exploring the funding and development of a new multi-generational facility to incorporate the current Onetta Harris Community Center, Menlo Park Senior Center, Belle Haven Youth Center (after school child care), Belle Haven Pool and branch library.
Previous meeting
On July 28, 2020, the City Council received an informational item on the project providing updates to the timeline for construction and impacts to interim services affecting senior services, recreation classes and after school child care at the existing site. It also referenced a separate report to the City Council on July 28 about the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) budget, including base-level funding for the project.
Upcoming meetings
1. Tele town hall
On September 10, 2020, from 6-7:30 p.m., the City Council Subcommittee will host a telephone town hall event on the project to reintroduce the public to this City Council priority project. The discussion will outline the updated project timeline, include a question and answer period for callers, and preview the upcoming City Council meeting on September 15. A recording will be posted to the project page after the event.

2. City Council Special Meeting
At the September 15, 2020, City Council special meeting, the full City Council will consider the term sheet, conceptual design and project review process of Facebook's offer to rebuild the community facilities located at 100-110 Terminal Ave.
