Solid waste and water discount program
The City Council approved a rate assistance program to assist those suffering financial hardship. The program runs through June 30, 2022. Qualified households may receive a 20% monthly discount on solid waste service from Recology San Mateo County and a fixed monthly discount equivalent to 50% of the 5/8 meter service charge on water service from Menlo Park Municipal Water. Join us for the City Council reorganization
The City Council annual reorganization meeting is Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, starting at 6 p.m. At this meeting, the City Council will recognize outgoing Mayor Drew Combs. The City Council will also select the new mayor and vice mayor for 2022. Menlo Park’s City Council is the city's governing body. In general municipal elections occurring in even numbered years, its members are elected by district to four-year staggered terms. Overnight parking enforcement deferred for the holidays
The City will suspend residential overnight parking enforcement during the holiday season. As a courtesy, the overnight parking ordinance will not be enforced beginning Monday morning, Dec. 20, 2021, through Sunday morning, Jan. 2, 2022. Overnight parking enforcement will resume at 2 a.m., Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. At that time, enforcement of the overnight parking ordinance will continue by police parking officers. Menlo Park resources are ready for storms
As we head into wet weather season, the City is prepared for upcoming winter weather and closely monitors the weather forecast for potential storms and heavy rainstorms. Residents can pick up sand and empty bags to prepare for winter storms. Please remember to bring a shovel.
