Holiday Travel Season is Here
Passengers Can Expect Changes
to the Airport Experience
The upcoming holidays will be the first time that many people will fly since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Charlotte Douglas International Airport has been busy implementing safety practices to give passengers confidence that the Airport is safe and healthy.
CLT expects to be busy during the holiday travel season. As a major hub with hundreds of connecting flights, passengers can expect the Airport to be busier than some other airports. Expect crowds, plan ahead, arrive early.
While you are with us, please remember:
- Face coverings are required at CLT, from the parking lot to your aircraft. All airlines at CLT also require a mask be worn to board a flight. Passengers who need a mask can pick up a free one at the TSA checkpoint podiums and at the Visitor Info Center on the lower level in Baggage Claim.
- Social distancing is strongly recommended. It can be hard in a busy airport, but please keep at least 6 feet between yourself and others. Take a look at our tips on how to keep your distance.
- Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or, in a pinch, use one of the hand sanitizing stations located throughout the terminal for your convenience.
