Segment 3, which runs from Alicia Parkway to El Toro Road, has been awarded to Atkinson Construction located in Irvine. Construction on this final segment is estimated to begin December 2020. This segment will include: adding a general purpose lane, widening the Los Alisos Boulevard bridge and extending the second carpool lane in both directions between Alicia Parkway and El Toro Road. The total length of this segment is 1.8 miles and is adjacent to Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Woods. Anticipated project completion is 2025.
