Register your block party for National Night Out!

National Night Out is fast approaching and we want to make it the best one yet! This year’s event will be Tuesday, Aug. 2 with celebrations starting around 5 p.m. National Night Out is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie and crime prevention. National Night Out is a great opportunity to engage with your neighbors, police officers and city staff. Local Menlo Park eateries receive grants to support outdoor dining

The City of Menlo Park has provided approximately $72,000 in reimbursements to local eateries for the Temporary Outdoor Dining Grant Program. In response to initial health orders prohibiting indoor dining in 2020 and 2021, the City Council approved an outdoor dining grant program to provide financial assistance to local eateries to enhance outdoor dining options. Help your trees avoid long-term drought damage

You can help preserve Menlo Park’s Tree City USA heritage this summer by making sure your trees avoid long-term drought damage by following some simple tree care guidelines. Water mature trees once a month by irrigating near the edge of the tree canopy (drip line). Use a low flow rate for a long duration to allow water to moisten the soil to a depth of 18”-24” (Rule of thumb - use 10 gallons per 1” of trunk diameter).
