Half of the people with mental health conditions develop symptoms by age 14. The longer someone waits to get help, the longer their recovery process becomes. It often takes 10 years from the first time someone has mental health concerns until he or she gets a correct diagnosis and proper treatment. The Urban Water Management Plan and Water Shortage Contingency Plan are a critical part of meeting the long-range water supply needs of Menlo Park Municipal Water customers for both normal and dry year weather conditions. Final days to apply for Housing Element outreach committee
Over the next 18 months, the City of Menlo Park will be focused on updating its Housing Element and Safety Element of the General Plan, and preparing a new Environmental Justice Element. The City of Menlo Park is seeking residents to serve on the newly created Housing Element Community Engagement and Outreach Committee (CEOC). 15 mph speed zones coming soon to Menlo Park schools
Menlo Park is reducing the speed limit to 15 mph in school zones citywide. Streets within a 500-foot radius of a school will now have 15 mph school zones. As part of this effort, crews will install new 15 mph signs during the month of May. A speed limit reduction near schools will improve student safety and raise awareness among drivers. PG&E warns of scams targeting customers ahead of tax deadline
With just a week left until the 2020 tax year filing deadline May 17, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) warns customers to protect themselves from an increase in scams involving people posing as PG&E employees. According to the IRS, scammers are impersonating utility workers to try to steal financial information from unsuspecting victims to file fraudulent tax returns in their names and then collect their refunds.
