Attend Menlo Park's upcoming City Council meeting Tuesday, Feb. 24. The closed session will take place at 5:30 p.m. and the public meeting will begin at 6 p.m.
See the meeting's agenda item highlights below:
- I3. Consider and adopt a resolution to amend the fiscal year 2025-26 budget
- J1. Provide direction for a lease agreement for City property at 555 Ravenswood Ave. and provide direction on the framework for considering a longer-term lease

The Event Hall at Belle Haven Community Campus (100 Terminal Ave.) will be closed Feb. 23–27, while work is done on the floor outlets. Senior programming scheduled to take place in the Event Hall will undergo minor adjustments; however, other programs will continue as usual. Read more...

Menlo Park City Council is seeking community input on priorities for fiscal year 2026-27. Feedback will help inform discussion at the Priority Setting Workshop scheduled for Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. in City Council Chambers (751 Laurel St.) and via Zoom. | San Mateo County 2026 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

In 2026, San Mateo County is updating its Local Hazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP) — a critical roadmap that identifies natural disaster risks and outlines strategies to reduce damage before emergencies happen. The LHMP is a federally required plan that helps communities prepare for hazards such as floods, wildfires, earthquakes and severe weather. | Save the date for the Community Fun Run April 25

Join us for our 2026K Community Fun Run — a 6-kilometer course that will start at Belle Haven Community Campus (100 Terminal Ave.) and head through the trails of Bedwell Bayfront Park. | Overnight closures on U.S. 101 and SR-92 interchange Feb. 24-28

Caltrans will close the southbound U.S. 101 off-ramp to westbound SR-92 and Fashion Island Boulevard as crews install overhead signage and pour concrete for the bridge at the U.S. 101 and SR-92 interchange. Closures are scheduled Tuesday, Feb. 24, through Friday, Feb. 27, from 1–5 a.m., and Saturday, Feb. 28, from 1–6 a.m. This work is part of the $45 million U.S. 101- SR-92 Short-term Improvements Project, co-sponsored by the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and the City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County. | Apply for the Community Funding Program by March 5

The City of Menlo Park is accepting applications for its Community Funding Program, which supports eligible community organizations and nonprofit agencies addressing local human service needs. Funding is available for basic services, community enrichment and community health programs. Using the City’s Community Funding Policy, the City Council will allocate limited resources to priority community needs. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. | Help SamTrans reimagine Dumbarton by March 6

The Dumbarton Corridor connects Redwood City on the Peninsula with Union City in the East Bay, spanning the San Francisco Bay. SamTrans is reimagining the unused Dumbarton freight rail line to create fast, reliable and zero-emission bus service, along with safer improvements for people biking and walking. Community input will help shape how the corridor is used and which destinations it should serve. Residents are encouraged to share their ideas by taking the online survey, available through March 6. | Calling all residents interested in local leadership

The City of Menlo Park is seeking applicants to fill vacancies on several advisory bodies, including the Complete Streets Commission, Environmental Quality Commission, Housing Commission, Library Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission and Planning Commission. Advisory bodies review issues of community interest and make recommendations to the City Council, helping guide City policies, projects and priorities. Applicants must be 18 or older, reside in Menlo Park and be available to attend monthly meetings. Applications are due by 5 p.m., Friday, April 3. Read more...

| City Hall solar carport work continuing through March

Work on the solar PV carport systems at City Hall began Feb. 16 and is expected to be completed by the end of March. The contractor, McMillan Electric, will put up construction fencing to close most of the lot between City Hall and the Gymnastics Center. Alternative parking will be available in the other parking lots at the Burgess Campus. During this temporary disruption in parking, we invite you to consider using sustainable transportation (walking, biking, commuting or taking transit) to see how these modes may work to visit the Burgess Campus. | Temporary pedestrian detour at Bedwell Bayfront Park entrance

The pedestrian entry access to Bedwell Bayfront Park will be modified temporarily to allow for construction work as part of the West Bay Sanitary District’s Bayfront Recycled Water Project. A detour will be in place, and pedestrians will be routed to an existing nearby path as an alternative point of entry. Read more...

| Apply now for the Electrification Bundle Program for Belle Haven renters

The City of Menlo Park, in partnership with the Belle Haven Community Development Fund, has launched the Electrification Bundle Program for Belle Haven renters. The program is a new initiative designed to help Belle Haven renters access cleaner, safer and more efficient home appliances at no cost.
