We’re sharing a quick update on current work.
Work continues with the installation of box culvert on Columbia Oaks Drive. The initial phase of construction is forecasted to be complete in Fall 2026, and the bulk of the construction work is on track to wrap up in early 2028. We’ll continue sharing updates as progress continues.

The color-coded phases show the locations of active work. However, we may use the full construction limits shown in yellow for the duration of the project. Even when work shifts to a new phase, we may still need to access the yellow area for staging of equipment, materials, or site needs.
Please note that multiple phases may be worked in tandem, and the phase order does not indicate the exact order of all construction efforts.
The new storm drain will be installed on multiple roads, including Columbia Oaks Drive, Columbia Oaks Court, Oak Knoll Drive, Broad Oaks Drive, and Woodcrest Drive, as well as in easement (PUE) between Three Oaks Trail and Columbia Oaks Drive.
- Phase 1 (purple): approximately 10 months
- 8 months to excavate the limestone and prepare the Public Utility Easement for the new storm drain system.
- 2 months to place new storm drain within Public Utility Easement.
- Phase 2 (orange): approximately 3 months
- 1 month to excavate Woodcrest Drive, between Public Utility Easement and Three Oaks Trail.
- 2 months to relocate water and wastewater lines and install new storm drain along Woodcrest Drive, towards Three Oaks Trail.
- Phase 3 (red): approximately 3 months
- 1 month to relocate water lines (includes excavation and trench repair) in Oak Knoll Drive.
- 2 months to install new storm drain in Woodcrest Drive, between Oak Knoll Drive and Broad Oaks Drive.
- Phase 4 (green): approximately 1.5 months
- Install new storm drain in Oak Knoll Drive.
- Phase 5 (brown): approximately 2 months
- Install new storm drain in Broad Oaks Drive.
- Final paving and site clean up
- Phase 6 (blue): approximately 3 months
Please note that as with any construction project, schedules are projected as accurately as possible and are subject to change due to the nature of construction and weather.

There will be no work on Labor Day weekend. Work will wrap up on Friday, September 4, and resume Tuesday, September 8.

Schools in Austin and Round Rock are back in session. Please be cautious when traveling near the project area as students may be walking to school or headed to nearby bus stops. Slow down, stay alert, and follow all posted signs.

|
We’ve heard reports of drivers traveling the wrong direction on Q‑Ranch Road near the project area. For everyone’s safety, please follow the posted signs and only drive in the designated direction of travel. Wrong‑way driving puts you and your neighbors at risk. Thank you for helping keep the area safe while work continues.
