Preparing for the CFD Season

With Cheyenne Frontier Days on the horizon, downtown businesses should begin planning for the season now. The DDA will provide patriotic flowers, banners, and promote downtown throughout Cheyenne and beyond. What is your business planning?
This year, there is a noticeable shift in the late-night landscape. That change may create space for new ideas, extended hours, or coordinated efforts among neighboring businesses.
We’ve heard from a few businesses already beginning those conversations. If you’re considering how your storefront, hours, or offerings may align with increased visitor activity, now is a good time to connect with your block and plan ahead.

Next Steps for DDA Strategic Plan
|

Following a recent work session discussion, the Cheyenne DDA Board will consider key sections of its 5-Year Draft Strategic Plan at its March 19 meeting. The plan outlines updated mission and vision statements, core values, strategic program priorities, financial sustainability strategies, and proposed staffing capacity to support the organization’s future work.

New Website Coming This Spring
|
|
|
|
We’re excited to share that a newly redesigned DDA website will be launching this spring. This update is part of our broader communications plan being developed with West Edge Collective, aimed at improving how we share information, resources, and opportunities.
The updated website will provide clearer access to key programs, resources, updates, and project information. We look forward to unveiling it soon. The button below links to the communications plan project page for more information about this work.

DDA Executive Director to Hold Work Session with City Council
|
|
|
|
The Cheyenne DDA Executive Director will hold a work session with City Council on March 20 at 12:00 p.m. The discussion will focus on current status of Downtown (high-level), the DDA's previous and current operations, and the proposed 5-Year strategic direction. The session will take place in the Council Chambers at 2101 O’Neil Avenue and will also be accessible via Zoom here.
Please note: no public comment will be taken.
