The Latest From District 10

Happy Holidays and (early) New Year!

Thanks to all of you who attended the District 10 Holiday Party on Monday night at Morgan’s Wonderland. We owe a big shout-out to everyone who helped host this get-together, including Morgan’s Wonderland staff, all our District 10 Staff, NNA members, Party Pros face painters and caricaturists, VEGAs Event Group photographers, and the fantastic musicians who presented great Christmas music for all of us to enjoy.

It was also good to see Shermeka Hudson with SS&E representing the SAFC and showing off their huge championship trophies. Congratulations! We hope everyone has a relaxing holiday season. Relive that night and view all our photos here!

This year was monumental in many ways. There were plenty of Council items that were voted on, and Councilman Perry couldn't have gained a better understanding of each item if it wasn't for your support, calls, and surveys you all participated in. We had an abundance of successes which included: increases to the City's homestead exemption, lowering the tax rate, adding public safety authorizations, and providing a rebate back to all CPS Customers!

This office also continued our District 10 Community Roadshows and brought various City services straight to the neighborhoods to speak with neighbors one on one about important topics in their communities. We enjoyed hosting our District 10 Community Meetings, and Northeast Neighborhood Alliance meetings as well as stopping by your neighborhood events. Thank you for continuing the work to ensure your neighborhoods stay connected and in the know.

We appreciate everyone who has attended our signature District 10 events such as our District 10 Fiesta, our Native American Heritage Event, and Holiday Gathering. Your many smiles and very positive feedback let everyone know that we need more of these events as we plan our 2023 calendars. Thank you to everyone who has called our office to assist our community.

With the year coming to an end, we want to say thank you for your support in aiding our District 10 team and spending your year with us! As we close out 2022 and look forward to a fresh start in 2023, your District 10 team is here to assist you with all of your City needs. Please be on the lookout for a list of holiday closures in the coming weeks. We're humbly honored to serve all of our neighbors and look forward to another prosperous year.
