INTERSECTION CLOSURE EXTENSION NOTICE

Bryant Farms Road & Blakeney Heath Road
The road closure at the intersection of Elm Lane, Bryant Farms Road and Blakeney Heath Road has been extended and is expected to re-open by Oct. 25, 2024. This closure is necessary for construction of Phase 1 of the Bryant Farms Road Extension project. Motorists traveling through the area may take Rea Road, Ardrey Kell Road and Community House Road as alternate routes. Elm Lane between Ballantyne Commons Parkway and Bryant Farms, and Blakeney Heath Road are restricted to local traffic only. Barricades and signage are in place to guide motorists through the area. Motorists should travel carefully through the area and obey all instructional signage to ensure the safety of workers and other motorists.
This project provides an alternate east-west route parallel to Ardrey Kell Road and Ballantyne Commons Parkway, helping to alleviate increasing traffic congestion. The project will extend Bryant Farms Road by approximately 0.4 miles, connecting Elm Lane and Rea Road. It will also improve the intersection of Elm Lane, Blakeney Heath Road and Bryant Farms Road and provide a signalized intersection at Rea Road and Bryant Farms Road. The project will also include pedestrian and bicycle facilities, curb & gutter, a planting strip, street lights and landscape buffers.
