The City of San Diego invites residents and homeowners to share their thoughts with the Trash Study Team during its Phase 2 outreach. Participants can learn what the team has discovered from more than 6,400 residents who took part in early outreach and compare solid waste services throughout San Diego County.

Please note: Open House events feature display stations designed for drop-in discussions and community presentations take place as agenda items at regular meetings of host groups. Visitors may access the latest outreach calendar at the project website.

 Did you know?

Any new fees or rate increases adopted by public agencies in California must comply with Proposition 218. If the City Council moves forward with a recommendation to adopt fees next spring, there will be an opportunity for residents to express objections. The City will mail notices to impacted property owners, along with a postcard that can be returned to protest the planned fees. 

The City of San Diego already follows the Proposition 218 process whenever water or sewer rates increase. Residents have 45 days to return written protests.
