Key Milestone: Construction Begins!

We're excited to announce that construction begins this week at Burton Street Community Center. The upper basketball court will be removed to prepare installation of the new playground while crews will prepare the lower basketball court for repair, resurfacing, and lighting and drainage improvements. The current playground will remain until construction of the new playground is complete, ensuring kids and families have a neighborhood playground without interruption.

Construction is expected to continue into the summer months when the playground, basketball court, patio meeting area, and other outside improvements are scheduled to open for your enjoyment. Please share this update with friends and neighbors – and encourage them to sign up for periodic updates to stay informed throughout the project!

Please keep in mind that projects often experience delays during the construction phase due to weather, unexpected discoveries, or supply chain and labor shortages. We appreciate your patience as we work to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.
