Work continues on W. Patton Avenue Sidewalk project
Now more than a month in, work on the W. Patton Avenue Sidewalk project is progressing steadily. The contractor is finishing up sidewalk and drive aprons at the eastern end of the project area and continues to move westward.
Night time lane closures
Lane closures and any work within five feet of the roadway are now limited to night time hours. The right hand lane of Patton Avenue is typically closed overnight in order for work to take place. One turn lane coming from New Leicester Highway will also continue to be closed until the contractor moves far enough past this intersection.
Temporary bus stop adjustment
The bus stop in front of Walgreens is temporarily closed during nighttime work. Outside of nighttime work hours, a temporary stop has been placed just west of the existing bus stop, in front of Alan's Pawn.
Construction is on track to be completed by December 2025.
