Construction and renovations began in January 2025 and is anticipated to be complete during swim season 2026. During construction the pool and bathhouse and surrounding area will be closed to the public. November 2025 Update

October Progress

Recent completed work includes:

  • Concrete for new zero depth/beach entrance
  • Steel structures for new bathhouse roofs
  • Foundation and walls for new Men’s bathhouse
  • Interior pool and deck lights
  • Myrtha pool shell panels around the perimeter
  • Plumbing and electric work
  • Footings and columns for new shade structures

Scheduled Milestones

•    Construction began January 2025 
•    Anticipated completion of all major construction activity is spring of 2026 for a pool opening during the swim season of 2026.


Please note that as in any construction project, schedules are projected as accurately as possible. All dates are subject to change due to the nature of construction and the weather.

Montopolis Neighborhood Park Playground Project

The playscape replacement project is sponsored and led by the Austin Parks Foundation (APF). Work is well underway and is anticipated to be complete in early 2026. Next steps include the installation of a new drinking fountain, sidewalks, irrigation, shade trees and new lawn areas.

 

APF plans to have a ribbon cutting event to celebrate the completion of the project and will provide more information once a date is chosen.
