Fiesta event attendees are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early to downtown events to avoid expected disruptions related to traffic and parking. Attendees should consider taking public transportation, ride-share, biking, walking, or consult a navigation and traffic app. VIA Metropolitan Transit’s Park & Ride will be available from multiple locations for many Fiesta events, including the Fiesta parades, NIOSA, and the King William Fair. Residents are advised that streets will close early for the Fiesta Battle of Flowers Parade on Friday, April 28 (streets close at 7 a.m. and reopen by 2 p.m.), and for the Fiesta Flambeau Parade on Saturday, April 29 (streets close at 4 p.m. and reopen by 1 a.m.). Visit SASpeakUp.com/Fiesta2023 for Fiesta related downtown street closure and parking information.
Downtown construction will also pose obstacles. A full list of lane closures can be found on the City’s Public Works Department website.
Attendees who choose to drive can visit the City's SAPark website for parking options. Note that event rates may apply, and parking is subject to availability. The Downtown Tuesday free parking program will be temporarily suspended on Tuesday, April 25.

The Fiesta San Antonio Commission hosts Fiesta® Fiesta, the kick-off event to Fiesta at Travis Park on Thursday, April 20. The event is free, open to the public, and has multiple food, beverage, and merchandise selections. Pin Pandemonium is an event where patrons can purchase medals from our Fiesta Member Organizations to help support their fundraising efforts. The leading stage entertainment features a variety of music, a military salute, and an official opening ceremony with the Fiesta Commission President, King Antonio, Rey Feo, and the Mayor. The Fiesta De Los Spurs Fun Run takes place on April 29 before the Fiesta Flambeau Parade. Participants will be cheered on by the crowd along the 2.5-mile parade route, followed by a post-race celebration at Legacy Park. Following the run, participants can expect live music with special guest appearances, engaging photo opportunities, chances to win exclusive memorabilia, and food and drink from local San Antonio vendors while celebrating 50 years of San Antonio Spurs basketball.

Parade Starts at 7pm
The 2023 Fiesta Flambeau® Parade will celebrate with “Fiesta Flambeau 75th Diamond Jubilee” as the parade theme. It is the largest illuminated night parade and the highlight of Fiesta®. The Fiesta Flambeau® Parade continues to light up the streets of downtown San Antonio along the 2.6-mile route and viewed by an estimated 750,000+ spectators and another 1.5 million television audience.

San Antonio is gearing up for the annual Fiesta celebration. During this festive time, Downtown Tuesday programs will be temporarily suspended on Tues. April 25th respectively for a Fiesta “Siesta.” Event parking rates will apply at all City-operated lots and garages. Regular meter rates will also be in effect. Special event and parade attendees are advised that street closures may impact the availability of metered parking in some areas.
Downtown Tuesday offers free parking at City-operated parking garages, lots and meters every Tuesday evening from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. (some exclusions may apply); this will resume on Tuesday, May 2nd.
