Attend Menlo Park's upcoming City Council meeting Tuesday, Feb. 10. The public meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

| Three proposals received for downtown Parking Plazas

Three development teams submitted proposals in response to the City’s request for proposals to develop housing and other uses on Parking Plazas 1, 2 and 3, the City-owned downtown surface parking lots. Proposals from Alliant Communities, Presidio Bay Ventures and Related California and Alta Housing would provide 345–500 new homes and include potential strategies to replace at least 556 public parking spaces. | Presidio Bay submits application to redevelop former USGS site

The City of Menlo Park received an application, submitted by Presidio Bay Ventures, to redevelop the approximately 17.75-acre former United States Geological Survey (USGS) campus located at 345 Middlefield Road. The project proposes housing units, office space, neighborhood-serving commercial space, retail and open space. City staff are currently evaluating the submittal package and will provide the applicant with initial feedback within 30 days of submittal. Read more...

| Apply for the East Palo Alto Sanitary District advisory committee – Feb. 13 deadline

Menlo Park is seeking applicants to represent the City on the East Palo Alto Sanitary District (EPASD) advisory committee. Committee members serve on the EPASD advisory board, advise on operational matters and review annual budgets. Interested Menlo Park residents over the age of 18 who live in the EPASD service area are encouraged to apply by 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13. Read more...

| City Holiday - administrative offices closed Feb. 16

City of Menlo Park administrative offices and nonessential government services will be closed Monday, Feb. 16, in observance of Presidents Day. Essential services and emergency response operations will continue as normal. Regular hours of operation will resume Tuesday, Feb. 17. Read more...

| Youth summer camp enrollment is open

Summer camp enrollment is now open for the City of Menlo Park. Other activities are available to browse and enroll with Menlo Park's activity guide. The activity guide includes classes, programs and camps for all ages, including arts and enrichment, youth programs and community events. Program availability and registration deadlines vary by activity. Residents are encouraged to review current offerings and register early, as space is limited for many programs. Read more...

| Apply for the Community Funding Program by March 5

The City of Menlo Park is accepting applications for its Community Funding Program, which supports eligible community organizations and nonprofit agencies addressing local human service needs. Funding is available for basic services, community enrichment and community health programs. Using the City’s Community Funding Policy, the City Council will allocate limited resources to priority community needs. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding. | Help SamTrans reimagine Dumbarton by March 6

The Dumbarton Corridor connects Redwood City on the Peninsula with Union City in the East Bay, spanning the San Francisco Bay. SamTrans is reimagining the unused Dumbarton freight rail line to create fast, reliable and zero-emission bus service, along with safer improvements for people biking and walking. Community input will help shape how the corridor is used and which destinations it should serve. Residents are encouraged to share their ideas by taking the online survey, available through March 6. | City Hall solar carport work expected to begin Monday, Feb. 16

Work on the solar PV carport systems at City Hall is expected to begin Monday, Feb. 16 and be completed by the end of March. The contractor, McMillan Electric, will put up construction fencing to close most of the lot between City Hall and the Gymnastics Center. Alternative parking will be available in the other parking lots at the Burgess Campus. During this temporary disruption in parking, we invite you to consider using sustainable transportation (walking, biking, commuting or taking transit) to see how these modes may work to visit the Burgess Campus. | Temporary pedestrian detour at Bedwell Bayfront Park entrance

The pedestrian entry access to Bedwell Bayfront Park will be modified temporarily to allow for construction work as part of the West Bay Sanitary District’s Bayfront Recycled Water Project. A detour will be in place, and pedestrians will be routed to an existing nearby path as an alternative point of entry. Read more...
