Crews working on behalf of the City of Austin have completed their work along Pearce Lane, and the City has formally accepted that work. Construction crews working for a nearby developer began pre‑construction activities along Pearce Lane east of Ross Road earlier this month.
To accommodate event‑related traffic traveling to and from Circuit of The Americas, the developer will temporarily remove the existing detour by October 22, 2026. The detour will return to its current configuration on Monday, October 26, 2026, when the next phase of work begins.
Beginning the week of October 26, the developer’s contractor will start installing a 36‑inch water line along Pearce Lane and through the Ross Road intersection. This water line will support the developer’s project and improve system reliability for Austin Water customers in the surrounding area. To complete this work safely and efficiently, the intersection at Pearce Lane and Ross Road will remain closed during the first phase of the installation.
After the intersection work is complete, the developer plans to partially reopen the intersection, allowing travel north, south, and west. Crews will then continue progressing east along Pearce Lane. The water line installation is expected to be completed in early 2027.
