Friendly Reminder for Holiday Waste Collection
With the holidays approaching, we would like to remind residents that carts, bins and trash cans that are overloaded cannot be serviced. Waste Connections would like to remind residents that the lid on your container must be able to close in order to be collected.
The Town of Huntersville offers bulk pickup, for a fee, which is helpful for residents wanting to remove excessive household garbage. Go to our website and fill out the form to schedule bulk pickup.
Reminder organic Christmas decorations, such as, garlands, wreaths and trees are collected from December 26 through January 15 on your regular collection day at no additional cost to the Town. Please remove hangers, wires, lights and any other non-organic material.

Did you know? Tree Save Areas in Huntersville
Did you know some lots in Huntersville have designated Tree Save Areas? These areas protect existing trees that are part of our Town’s natural heritage. The Town’s ordinance protects trees to keep the town beautiful, healthy and safe. If your property includes a Tree Save Area, existing trees are protected — helping reduce flooding, clean the air and keep Huntersville beautiful. No clearing, grading, or building is allowed in these areas.
Are you planning to clear, grade or build?
