Friends,

June marks the beginning of a vibrant season in Frederick County. As schools close for the summer, our streets and parks will be filled with children enjoying their break. Please be extra vigilant while driving and mindful of the increased activity in our neighborhoods.

This month we celebrate Pride, a time dedicated to honoring and uplifting our LGBTQ+ community. This celebration not only acknowledges the struggles and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community, but also reinforces our dedication to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone.

June is also National Immigrant Heritage Month. Frederick County is honored to host a Heritage Festival on Friday, June 6 from 4 - 8 p.m. at Hill Street Park, located at 100 Hill Street in Frederick. This event will feature music, food, and activities that highlight the contributions of our diverse cultures. We hope you can join us!

I invite you to stay connected with my administration for the latest updates on what we are doing to keep Frederick vibrant. Thank you for your continued support and engagement! Together, we can keep making a positive impact in our County.

Sincerely,

Jessica Fitzwater

Frederick County Executive
