Due to community support, the City of Austin is moving forward with the proposed changes to Huntland Drive and Highland Mall Boulevard in the Highland Neighborhood. This project aims to improve safety, connectivity and comfort for everyone traveling in the area, whether walking, biking, taking transit or driving.
A survey was open from March 30 to April 22 to receive feedback from people who travel in the area. You can now find the results of that survey as well as a report summarizing the information on the project website.
Huntland Drive is scheduled for resurfacing in late May, which provides an opportunity to make these changes at the same time. Highland Mall Boulevard is not currently scheduled for resurfacing, but future improvements are being considered as funding allows.
