Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted

FREDERICK, Md. - Crews from the Frederick County Division of Water and Sewer Utilities responded to a water main break along Spring Forest Road in the Spring Ridge Community. Many residents in the Spring Ridge, Woodridge and portions of the Lake Linganore communities experienced a fluctuation in water pressure or a complete loss of water service.

The water main break was repaired on November 22, 2024. Bacteriological samples were collected throughout the affected area once water pressure was restored to the entire system.  All samples came back negative for Total Coliform and E.coli.

These results indicate no contamination occurred during the water main repair and the boil water advisory is now lifted.

For more information, residents should call the Division of Water and Sewer Utilities at 301-600-1825 during normal business hours and 301-600-2194 after hours.  Or, visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov.
