Candidate filing for the November Election opens July 15

Election season is approaching, Menlo Park! Candidate filing for the Nov. 5 election will be open from Monday, July 15 until 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9. The Nov. 5 election will have the opportunity to fill a City Council seat in District Three (full term – four years) and District Five (full term – four years). Registered voters will vote only for the City Council seat in their district. The City is actively seeking applicants for vacant seats on three advisory bodies. Advisory bodies examine issues of community interest and make recommendations to the City Council on policy matters. The first California Competes Tax Credit application period will start on July 22 with $215 million in tax credits available.
