August 3, 2026
We want to share an update on construction activity near the intersection of Pearce Lane and Ross Road.
The contractor for a private development along Pearce Lane is scheduled to begin work in late August/early September 2026 to install a 36" water line that will support their project and other Austin Water customers in the area. To complete this work safely and efficiently, the intersection of Pearce Lane and Ross Road will remain closed through late 2026.
Drivers should continue to follow the posted detours, which are the same routes used in February 2026. Questions about the water line installation may be directed to Chris Blackburn with Waterloo Development at 512‑346‑3482 or Chris@WaterlooDevelopment.com.
Crews working on behalf of the City of Austin have completed their improvements associated with the project funded by the 2020 Austin Mobility Bond. City staff are now inspecting that work so this section can be cleared and turned over to the private developer’s contractor.
