What's Next in Transit? You Tell Us!

In 2019, Advance Apex, the Town's comprehensive transportation plan, identified the highest-priority transit project as creating a circulator route to serve downtown Apex and parts of NC 55. That project became GoApex Route 1, which began operating in July 2022. Advance Apex also identified other potential transit routes, but didn’t prioritize them beyond introducing Route 1.

The Transit Prioritization Study hopes to get feedback on community recommendations and priorities for future transit growth and improvements. So, what’s next in transit? You tell us!

Complete the Transit Prioritization Survey online now through May 15th!

  • Think Earth: Volunteers will wage a “War on Kudzu,” a species which overtakes and smothers all vegetation
  • Think Clean: Volunteers will clean up litter at the wood line and perimeter of Pleasant Park

Report CSX Concerns with New Online Form

The railroad that runs through the center of Apex is an integral part of our town's history. Today, CSX (a private freight transportation company) owns and operates the rail lines through Apex.

Do you have a concern about CSX operations within Apex town limits? Complete this form...

A copy of your form will be submitted to a CSX representative and town staff. Pro tip: Make note of the crossing intersection before completing the form!

Hidden Gem: Internet Purchase Exchange Location

Need a safe place to meet someone and pick up an item you purchased online? Meet at the 'Internet Purchase Exchange Location' in the small parking lot beside the Apex Police Department (205 Saunders Street)! These two designated parking spaces are under 24-hour surveillance, providing a safer alternative to selling items at your home.
