W. Patton Avenue Sidewalk Project Update

Work on the W. Patton Avenue Sidewalk project began in July 2025 and continues to progress steadily.

This project is anticipated to be complete by the end of the year. Upcoming work will include:

  • Remaining sidewalk installation at west end of project. The project will terminate at the curb ramp on the west side of Druid Avenue.
  • Remaining sidewalk (small portion) on the east end of the project. The project will terminate at the west side of Louisiana Avenue.
  •  Asphalt work (roadway gutter & driveways) throughout the project area.

Reminder: Night time lane closures and temporary bus stop adjustment
Lane closures and any work within five feet of the roadway are limited to night time hours. The right hand lane of Patton Avenue is typically closed overnight in order for work to take place. Additionally, the bus stop in front of Walgreens is now back in its original location but may be temporarily moved again to accommodate transit service during remaining project work.
