Update from Boosting the Block


We’re excited to share that the latest Boosting the Block update has been posted! This update includes important highlights on recent progress, upcoming opportunities for engagement and what’s next for the project.

Also, we would like to invite Legacy Neighborhood residents, Black artists, and Black business owners to participate in a focused Visioning Session for the design phase of this project. This is an important opportunity to contribute your valuable insights and perspectives as we move forward in shaping the future of The Block.

Event Details:

  • Event: Boosting the Block Design Phase Visioning Session

  • Date: Monday, April 21, 2025

  • Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

  • Location: YMI Cultural Center

This session will focus on brainstorming key design elements and priorities for the cultural corridor and gateway project. We'll start with a dinner and a project overview, then move into the visioning session. Your input will influence the direction of the design phase and help ensure that the next steps and outcomes reflect the needs and aspirations of the community.
