
Austin Capital Delivery Services and Austin Watershed Protection wish to extend a big thank you to everyone who joined us for the Glenn Lane/Slayton Drive Storm Drain Improvements Meet the Contractor event on September 10. It was a great success, and we're thankful for the community's interest in this project.
We enjoyed the opportunity to meet with neighbors, answer questions, and share what's ahead as we prepare for construction. At the event we:
- Introduced the project team and contractor.
- Shared details on the construction schedule, detours, and traffic management.
- Answered questions from residents about project scope, parking, and traffic flow during construction.

Construction Schedule
- Construction will begin fall 2025.
- Completion of the project is anticipated for summer 2026.
- The construction cost is $1.4 million.
City of Austin permitted construction hours are:
- Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Per City ordinance, no loud equipment may be used from 10:30 p.m.-7 a.m. Start times may shift to 8 a.m. if required by permit.
