Construction to begin on W. Patton Avenue Sidewalk project

The City's contractor, Appalachian Siteworks, will officially begin work on the W. Patton Avenue Sidewalk project next week. Work will start at the Louisiana Ave end of the project and move westward.

Though temporary disruptions are unavoidable, property access will be possible during business hours, and the project team will communicate directly with those impacted on a regular basis. Work may be done at night in order to alleviate daytime disruption.

The Patton Avenue Sidewalk project will enhance the City’s sidewalk network by constructing a new sidewalk and connecting to existing sidewalk along the eastbound lanes of Patton Avenue from Druid Avenue to Louisiana Avenue, a total length of approximately 0.45 miles.

Construction will take approximately six months. The anticipated completion date is December 2025.
