DIGITAL PRESENCE

Digital Presence Program

The City of San Antonio and Herospace are partnering to help small businesses in San Antonio reach more customers online. Participating businesses can take a user-friendly online survey and receive a report helps you understand the strengths and weaknesses of your online presence.  
 
Visit our Digital Presence Program page to take the survey and receive a helpful report. A digital marketing expert will meet with San Antonio small businesses about the report. 
 
San Antonio small businesses that don’t have much online presence or digital knowledge may receive free digital work. Digital work may involve a website, social media channels, or photos and videos. 
Second Stage Company Grant Program

Second Stage Company Grant Program 

The Second Stage Company Grant Program was designed to help second-stage companies mitigate challenges such as managing a growing staff or entering new markets. Applicants may be eligible for up to $50,000 per company based upon individual considerations for company needs, commitments, and leveraged resources. O% Interest Loan Program

Zero Percent Loan Program 

Zero Percent Interest Loan Program, administered by LiftFund, offers flexible small business loans from $500 to $100,000 at 0% interest.  Loans can be used for various business-related expenses such as inventory and payroll. Businesses in construction areas are eligible for a 6-month forbearance period to aid in their resilience. Women and BIPOC-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. More information is available through the Liftfund website.
This program is subject to LiftFund’s credit and lending guidelines, including inability to secure funding through traditional commercial sources. Other fees may apply.
SA Climate Ready Community Action Fund

SA Climate Ready Community Action Fund 

The SA Climate Ready Community Action Fund is a community grant program aimed to empower local community organizations and businesses to implement projects that will create a more sustainable and resilient San Antonio.

Projects must be within San Antonio city limits and applicants are eligible for awards up to $20,000.

Update: Façade & Outdoor Spaces Grant Program

Outdoor Spaces Grant Program – Awardees were notified of receiving the grant earlier this month and are working with our department through the funding process.
 
Façade Improvement Grant Program – the review team continues to look at applications to ensure eligibility requirements are met. Awardee announcements will be made in the coming weeks.

Buy Local Savings Pass

Buy Local Savings Pass!

The Buy Local Savings Pass is a mobile-exclusive perks and savings pass aimed at driving customers to your location. We want to invite YOU to participate in the Buy Local Savings Pass program and experience the benefits. If interested, email smallbizinfo@sanantonio.gov.

Signage Program

Do you need a ‘Business is Open’ sign? Businesses in certain construction areas may qualify for individualized signage to increase visibility and attract customers. The City will cover up to $300 for a sign that fits your unique needs. Businesses must meet eligibility standards. To Learn more about Signage Program details visit our program page.

This guide includes contacts, strategies, and other resources to help small businesses prepare and navigate the construction experience. Follow our links for a copy of our digital toolkit in English and Spanish.

Bidding Contracting Opportunities

The City of San Antonio is committed to helping your business grow in San Antonio. To view current bidding and contracting opportunities with the City of San Antonio, visit our procurement department’s page.  
 
In addition to current contracting opportunities, the Anticipated Solicitations List provides advanced notice to the small, minority and woman-owned businesses to prepare for upcoming bids/proposals beyond the standard advertisement period. This list will be updated monthly with detailed information on Small Business Economic Development Advocacy (SBEDA) Program tools applied and provide an overview of solicitations to be posted in the next 30-60 days. 
 
The Annual Procurement Guide is another forecasting tool of planned City solicitations over the course of a year from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024. Businesses can use this guide to research solicitations, understand City’s Preference Programs and solicitation processes, as well as network with prime level vendors for subcontractor opportunities. 
Job order Contracting

Learn about New Job Order Contracting Solicitation Opportunities

Calling all small, minority, woman-owned business in Construction industry! Join us for a workshop hosted by City of San Antonio Economic Development Dept. and Public Works Dept. to learn about the recently released Job Order Contracting (JOC) solicitation. City staff will review the scope of work, price calculations, SBEDA points and goals and the submission requirements in detail. Join us to learn more by attending the Pre-Submittall Conference and our workshop. Solicitations Released on: April 5, 2024.
