JBL Programming to Remain at Reduced capacity Through Mid-January
The City of Asheville continues to monitor traffic on Azalea Road now that programming has restarted at John B. Lewis Complex. The Asheville-Buncombe Youth Soccer Association (ABYSA) is voluntarily limiting their programming numbers to help reduce the impact on local traffic. This deliberate capping will be maintained through January 15, 2026, ensuring that programming levels do not exceed those established since November 2. The City intends to use traffic data, in addition to feedback from neighbors, to inform a final decision related to a traffic plan when programming increases in mid-January.
Neighbors and stakeholders can expect another update at the start of the new year on traffic and field utilization in preparation for increased programming.
